CHARLOTTE — Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that running back Chuba Hubbard was day-to-day with the calf injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday.

"The calf needs more treatment, the calf needs more time," Canales said, without offering any set timeline beyond "day-to-day."

Hubbard did not take part in Wednesday's walk-through, but the practice was just a walk-through. He was not on the field during the portion of practice open to the media.

Hubbard was included on the injury report last week with the same injury and listed as questionable, but played against the Patriots. He had 10 carries for 49 yards.

He has 53 carries for 217 yards on the season, and has caught 13 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.

He's coming off his best season, rushing for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns last year.

If he can't play this week, the Panthers still have Rico Dowdle, Trevor Etienne, and the recently promoted DeeJay Dallas at the position.
