CHARLOTTE — The Panthers got back to work in preparation for the Dolphins in Week 5 on Wednesday, and were missing a few players, but got several key guys back.

Wednesday's practice was a walk-through, so the participation report is an estimation.

Five players were listed as missing practice, including running back Chuba Hubbard (calf), right tackle Taylor Moton (non-injury-related, rest), tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle), defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton (toe), and cornerback Chau Smith-Wade (chest).

Outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum (hip) was listed as limited participants.

The rest of the names on the report were listed as full participants, including outside linebacker Patrick Jones II (hamstring), center Cade Mays (knee), wide receivers Xavier Legette (hamstring) and Tetairoa McMillan (calf), defensive tackle Cam Jackson (knee), and defensive end LaBryan Ray (ankle).

The team opened the 21-day window for Ray to practice to come off injured reserve earlier on Wednesday. He can be activated to the 53-man roster at any time during that span.

Carolina is 2-4 all-time against Miami, dating back to 1998.
