INDIANAPOLIS — The NFL Combine is set to kick off this week, going through Sunday, March 1. With it, teams' draft boards start to really take shape. Panthers general manager Dan Morgan told reporters at the end of the season that Carolina's draft board already had 600 players on it. The team will get to meet many of those prospects in Indianapolis next week, taking time to interview them, ask them to break down plays, and see them up close in on-field workouts.
It's a crucial week as clubs hone in on their best prospects for the upcoming April draft. With that in mind, here are a few dates to keep in mind for the NFL Combine week. Fans can watch the on-field workouts on NFL Network, and Panthers.com will have complete coverage of the event from Indianapolis.

Dan Morgan and Dave Canales
GM Dan Morgan and head coach Dave Canales will speak to the media from the podium on Tuesday, February 24 around 1pm and 2pm. Fans can read a full recap and watch the press conferences on panthers.com both that afternoon and throughout the week.
Each year, the GM and coach take that Tuesday afternoon to review the previous season (the Panthers won the NFC South for the first time in 10 years this past season), address concerns and holes on the roster, and discuss how the upcoming draft might fill some of those open spots.

Players Press Conferences
The prospects will take to the microphone beginning on Wednesday and go by position through Saturday. This is when each guy spends between 10 and 20 minutes at the podium to talk with media about their background, where they see themselves fitting into different NFL teams, and address which clubs they've met with already (typically at the Senior Bowl or East-West Shrine Bowl in January) or will be meeting with soon. The highlights of those interviews are streamed on NFL Network, and relevant moments and answers will be recapped here on panthers.com
