Put on your running shoes for the Blue Points 5k Road Race presented by the Carolina Panthers and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, August 2 at 7:30 a.m. followed by the Sir Purr Toddler Trot at 8:15 a.m. and an awards ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit Carolina Panthers Charities.

Eight-year-old Alex Hopkins, who is battling terminal cancer, had his wish granted to meet defensive end Julius Peppers after a Panthers summer school practice.
