Panthers release depth chart ahead of Week 8 for the 2025 season

DepthChart

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have released their depth chart ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Following a season-ending injury last week, and a handful of returns from Injured Reserve, there were several changes to this week's depth chart.

Outside linebacker Patrick Jones II was added to Injured Reserve last week. Dave Canales said the veteran pass-rusher would undergo season-ending back surgery. In his place, rookie Nic Scourton has moved into the first team OLB spot opposite veteran D.J. Wonnum. Subsequently, rookie Princely Umanmielen and Thomas Incoom have been shuffled around, with Umanmielen now behind Wonnum, and Incoom backing up Scourton.

Second-year receiver Jalen Coker and offensive lineman Austin Corbett were both elevated from IR last week, and played in the Panthers' win at the Jets in Week 7. Coker is now inserted back as the starter on the depth chart, with veteran Hunter Renfrow moving into the second spot. Brycen Tremayne, who had been backing up Renfrow, will now be behind Tetairoa McMillan.

Corbett, who had been the starting center before a knee injury, is now slotted behind Damien Lewis at left guard. Corbett started at that position on Sunday against the Jets, with Lewis sidelined with a shoulder injury.
