CHARLOTTE — The Panthers got a couple of key players back on the field Thursday, but added a name to the report.
Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (calf) was a limited participant on Thursday after he was held out on Wednesday. And defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton (hamstring) was also a limited participant, his first work since an injury in Week 1.
Running back Chuba Hubbard (calf) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday.
The four players with non-injury-related designations on Wednesday returned to full participation, while D.J. Wonnum (hip), Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle), Xavier Legette (hamstring), and Patrick Jones II (hamstring) were held out for the second consecutive day.
Carolina is 4-4 all-time against the Patriots. The teams faced off in Super Bowl XXXVIII at the end of the 2003 season.
