CHARLOTTE — Take a look inside some of the key numbers and stats, as well as the snap counts, from the Panthers' 27-10 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
- Cornerback Mike Jackson had a career-high 11 tackles (eight solo), two passes defensed and his career-high fourth interception of the season.
- Jackson leads the NFL with a career-high 19 passes defensed, tied for the third-most in a season in franchise history. Only Eric Davis (20 in 1999) and Brett Maxie (20 in 1995) had more.
- The Panthers recorded three sacks today, marking the fourth game this season they have recorded at least three sacks.
- Safety Tre'von Moehrig recorded four tackles and two tackles for loss, including his fifth-career sack (second of the season) in the first quarter.
- Moehrig now has 12 tackles for loss this season, the most among all defensive backs in the NFL. It is also tied for the second-most tackles for loss in a season by any defensive back in the NFL since 2000. Only Tony Jefferson (13 in 2016 with Arizona) had more.
- Outside linebacker Nic Scourton recorded a sack and his first career forced fumble in the second quarter, recovered by linebacker Christian Rozeboom at Seattle's 26-yard line to set up a 35-yard field goal.
- Scourton has 4.5 sacks this season, surpassing Kony Ealy (4.0 in 2014) for the third most by a rookie in franchise history. Only Julius Peppers (12.0 in 2002) and Brian Burns (7.5 in 2019) had more.
- Scourton also has 28 quarterback pressures this season, surpassing Brian Burns (27 in 2019) for the most by a Carolina rookie since the stat was first tracked in 2016.
- Rozeboom tallied 10 tackles (four solo), his fourth game this season recording double digit tackles. His fumble recovery also marked the first of his career.
- OLB D.J. Wonnum recorded his third sack of the season in the fourth quarter on QB Sam Darnold for a loss of seven yards.

| Jimmy Horn | 14 (26%) | 1 (5%) |
| Brycen Tremayne | 8 (15%) | 14 (67%) |
| Trevor Etienne | 3 (6%) | 8 (38%) |
| Jake Curhan | 3 (6%) | 2 (10%) |
| Ja'Tavion Sanders | 1 (2%) | 1 (5%) |
- For a guy who was questionable with an illness, Tetairoa McMillan played his normal workload. He played 44 snaps (83 percent). He said after the game he was dealing with congestion and fatigue, but he played through it.
- When Ja'Tavion Sanders was injured early, Tommy Tremble had to take on a bigger load. The three tight ends usually play around 50 percent of the snaps each (they really like multiple tight end sets), but Tremble had 41 of the 53 offensive snaps (77 percent). With Sanders out with a broken ankle, that could continue, though they'll activate James Mitchell this week to supplement Tremble and Mitchell Evans.
- Jimmy Horn Jr. had 14 snaps this week, as they continue to look for ways to use him. The Panthers have invested in playing young guys, and his development has been steady.
| Player | Defensive Snaps | Special Teams Snaps |
|---|---|---|
| Mike Jackson | 66 (100%) | 5 (24%) |
| Christian Rozeboom | 66 (100%) | 2 (10%) |
| Jaycee Horn | 66 (100%) | |
| Tre'von Moehrig | 66 (100%) | |
| Nick Scott | 63 (95%) | 1 (5%) |
| Derrick Brown | 59 (89%) | 5 (24%) |
| A'Shawn Robinson | 56 (85%) | 5 (24%) |
| Nic Scourton | 45 (68%) | |
| Claudin Cherelus | 37 (56%) | 2 (10%) |
| DJ Wonnum | 37 (56%) | |
| Chau Smith-Wade | 35 (53%) | 6 (29%) |
| Bobby Brown III | 31 (47%) | 5 (24%) |
| Trevis Gipson | 29 (44%) | 16 (76%) |
| Bam Martin-Scott | 22 (33%) | 17 (81%) |
| Cam Jackson | 15 (23%) | 5 (24%) |
| LaBryan Ray | 14 (21%) | |
| Princely Umanmielen | 9 (14%) | 5 (24%) |
| Lathan Ransom | 6 (9%) | 9 (43%) |
| Thomas Incoom | 3 (5%) | 19 (90%) |
- The games get bigger, and Derrick Brown's role just increases. He played 89 percent of the snaps on defense (59-of-66). A'Shawn Robinson wasn't far behind (56 snaps, 85 percent). The game plan dictated that the front line was going to have to play run defense, and Brown and Robinson have never been bashful about pulling extra duty.
- Bam Martin-Scott got another extensive workday on defense, playing 22 snaps with the regulars when Claudin left with a calf injury. The rookie from South Carolina had played 32 snaps of defense all year, all in relief in San Francisco. He has promise and is the kind of player they want to develop.
- There was less of a role for rookie safety Lathan Ransom this week, with just six snaps after he played 18 last week.
| Player | Special Teams Snaps |
|---|---|
| Isaiah Simmons | 18 (86%) |
| Maema Njongmeta | 14 (67%) |
| Nick Samac | 8 (38%) |
| Akayleb Evans | 8 (38%) |
| Krys Barnes | 6 (29%) |
| JJ Jansen | 5 (24%) |
| Ryan Fitzgerald | 5 (24%) |
| Sam Martin | 5 (24%) |
| Robert Rochell | 3 (14%) |
| Yosh Nijman | 2 (10%) |
- Special shoutout to center Nick Samac, who played more than the normal backup offensive lineman allocation of snaps on special teams. Usually, these guys are just in for field goal and extra point duty -- witness Yosh Nijman and his two snaps. Samac played eight, including a role on the kickoff return team on the front line. It's not a conventional role for a center, but when guys get hurt (as happened when Sanders suffered a broken ankle on the first offensive play and Robert Rochell suffered a concussion moments later), this is what has to happen.
