CHARLOTTE — The Panthers brought a couple of players back from injured reserve Saturday, and put another one on.
The team activated wide receiver Jalen Coker and offensive lineman Austin Corbett from IR on Saturday, making them available for Sunday's game at the Jets.
Coker's been out since Week 1 with a quadriceps strain suffered in practice prior to the opener. He's practiced for the last two weeks, as he works his way back into readiness.
He caught 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns, a healthy 14.9 yards per reception average which quarterback Bryce Young is looking forward to adding back to the offense.
"Jalen's been huge ever since he got here," Young said. "Great player, of course, but on the outside of just that great for the locker room. Works super hard."

Corbett suffered a left knee injury during the Week 2 loss at Arizona, and returned to practice this week.
He adds depth to an offensive line which could use it.
They've used five different starting lineups in six weeks, but have maintained a high level, ranking fourth in the league in rushing and seventh in sacks allowed per pass play. They also still have two on injured reserve (in Pro Bowler Robert Hunt and Chandler Zavala). Left guard Damien Lewis, who has been the only lineman on the roster to start every game, is questionable on the injury report after being added to the list Thursday with a shoulder issue, and head coach Dave Canales referred to him as a game-time decision for Sunday's game.
If he can't go, Corbett could step in, as he has plenty of experience at guard (he started at right guard for the Rams and won a Super Bowl ring there).

The Panthers also placed outside linebacker Patrick Jones II on injured reserve. He suffered a back injury last week which will require surgery, that will knock him out for the season.
Rookie Nic Scourton is expected to start in his place.
To help backfill the position, they called up outside linebacker Boogie Basham from the practice squad by standard elevation. It's his second elevation of the season, after he made his Panthers debut in Week 4.
