CHARLOTTE — Panthers' rookie receiver Tetairoa McMillan continues to garner accolades, after two strong weeks to open his NFL career.
The No. 8 overall pick has been nominated for the league's rookie of the week honors, the NFL announced on Tuesday.

McMillan earned the nomination following a six-reception, 100-yard day against the Arizona Cardinals. The performance, coupled with his five receptions for 68 yards in Week 1, give McMillan the best two-game start for any rookie receiver in Panthers history.
It was the 100-yard day in the desert in particular though, a return to where he played college ball and in front of his whole family, that is turning heads around the league.

"That's all a credit to my teammates, my quarterback, and obviously, you know, the coaches, the play calling," McMillan said following Sunday's game. "They always just have a good plan for this offense, and it just comes down to us to execute. We got to finish games, we got to finish drives, and, you know, we'll go in tomorrow, look over film and see what we did wrong, see what we did right."
The other nominated rookies are: Giants running back Cam Skattebo, Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten, Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor, Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba Sr., and Colts tight end Tyler Warren.
