CHARLOTTE — The Panthers ruled outside linebacker Patrick Jones II out of Sunday's opener against the Chicago Bears, but he's the only player on the injury report with a status listed for the game.
That means running back Jonathon Brooks (groin) is cleared for action.
Both Brooks and defensive tackle Bobby Brown III (back) were full participants in Friday's practice and have no injury designations for the game.
Jones didn't practice this week, and head coach Dave Canales said he was week-to-week, but didn't anticipate it being a long absence.
