CHARLOTTE — Rookie safety Lathan Ransom is on a hot streak.
And he's bringing friends with him.
The fourth-rounder followed up Saturday's 80-yard reception on a fake punt with a handful of plays Tuesday, including a dramatic interception.
Ransom cut in front of veteran wideout Adam Thielen to snag the ball, and once he broke free, he started looking for reinforcements.

He didn't have to look far, as safety Nick Scott and cornerback Chau Smith-Wade were trailing closely behind as he waved for them to join him.
Once they got to the end zone, they broke out in a dance, complete with choreographed handshakes as he flung the ball away.
That kind of energy is a plus, but Canales said what he likes about Ransom so far is his ability to be in the right place at the right time.

"Just being where he's supposed to be," Canales replied when asked what stood out in a practice that also included a sack and a pass breakup. "One thing that I'm noticing about him is he always seems to be in great position to make a play.
"And that comes with study, that comes with being disciplined about owning your leverage, analyzing the formation, run-pass, and then putting yourselves in an athletic position to make plays. And I can't be happier with where he's at and where he's headed."
Ransom is competing for time in the secondary with Demani and Scott, but the kind of nose for the ball he's displaying looks like the kind of thing that's going to make him a factor on special teams from Day 1.
